Who we are

Chris White

Chris studied at Merton Technical College. He worked with Howarth's as a maker of oboes for twelve years before setting up his own company 'Wind & Brass' in Hereford 15 years ago.

He has since built up a reputation for high quality work on woodwind and brass instruments and is recognised as an expert in his field.
 

Lawrence Bluhm

Lawrence studied at Leeds City College Of Music under the tutorship of Kevin Wilkes and Peter Barton where he gained a diploma with distinction.
At the Hereford workshop Lawrence is responsible for the string repair section. This includes repair and restoration of all instruments of the violin family (violin, viola, cello, double bass), classical & acoustic guitars, mandolins and other stringed instruments.

Lawrence also makes guitars and mandolins to order.
He has been working alongside Chris for almost seven years.

Lawrence also has a workshop at his home in South Shropshire, in the village of Lydbury North. He spreads his work time between these two workshops.
